IP Transit with DDoS Protection

5GN IP Transit offers direct peering with Tier-1 carriers, major backbone and content providers, and low-latency secure Internet access through 5GN PoPs in Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide, and Perth, as well as international teleport locations in Singapore, Japan, Los Angeles, and Auckland.

Among our partners are Telia, PCCW, TI Sparkle, Telstra Global, and AAPT to provide both connectivity extension and direct peering across our network. With BGP (Border Gateway Protocol) peering available, customers can configure BGP peering on their own routers, and DDoS (Distributed Denial of Service) threat mitigation is available as an add-on to our IP Transit product.

DDoS Protection

Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) Protection is a critical component of modern internet infrastructure. It is designed to protect against attacks that aim to overwhelm targeted resources with high-volume traffic.

5GN IP Transit includes RTBH (Remotely Triggered Black Hole) as a service inclusion. In addition, 5GN offers optional, additional DDoS protection services that provide monitoring, notifications, reporting, and automated mitigation at an additional cost.

5GN’s DDoS Protection Platform is powered by Corero, a global leader in real-time network security and protection. The service has been deployed into 5GN’s international and domestic PoPs and features over 100Gbps of mitigation capacity across the IP Transit network footprint. The platform is designed to mitigate a wide range of attacks while maintaining the availability of applications and services it is protecting without disrupting the delivery of legitimate traffic.

Key features of the 5GN DDoS protection service include automatic detection, mitigation, and scrubbing of traffic, as well as portal access for reporting and manual scrubbing (blackholing) if required.
